The days are getting longer and the weather is improving every day. Now is a great time to get outside and have a look at your exterior electrical components to make sure they survived the harsh winter weather.
Have a look at your outside light fixtures to see that they still have a good moisture seal.

Check the all outside receptacles to be sure that the covers are in good condition. The weather proof covers should be the Heavy Duty in-use type as per Ontario Electrical Code.

Have a look at your incoming electrical supply to make sure the conduits are securely connected and the meter base is properly secured to the wall.

Walk around the exterior of your home to see if there are any electrical wires leaving your house to feed other exterior lights or receptacles that may be on your property. If the wiring wasn't installed by a Licenced Electrical Contractor then it may be posing an electrical hazard.
